Living in Struer
The municipality of Struer wants to become the natural choice when you consider living in North Western Jutland. In these years, the port is changing from being based on industry and fisheries to becoming an attractive place for recreation and residential environment, still with a twist of the old port atmosphere.
Settling in the municipality of Struer is not very costly. The municipality offers new building sites or affordable flats and houses for sale. Land and houses with amazing views of the Limfjord bay or hilly landscapes are still obtainable at affordable prices. When living in Struer, you have quick and easy access to the neighbouring towns (for instance Holstebro, Herning, Skive, Thisted). Traffic is rather calm and roads are very rarely congested.
Struer also offers a wide selection of cultural activities. Most recently the local museum Struer Museum has opened an extensive and very technological exhibition of the history and the products of Bang & Olufsen. We also offer you a wide range of art exhibitions, lectures and concerts at the cultural facilities Folkets Hus and Gimsinghoved.
